About Us

The mission of the US Athletic Foundation is to create a fund for financially challenged athletes by managing donations made in support of their national, world and Olympic endeavors. The Foundation manages the financial aspects of training, providing athletes of all sports the opportunity to focus their passion and energy on training and utilizing their talents to their fullest potential.

The US Athletic Foundation is a non-profit donor funded organization proud to offer financial management services to all fields of athletics. We offer donors the versatility to support any individual athlete, team or the General Fund, which supports all of the Foundation's athletes.

The Foundation was envisioned by US, champion figure skater Nicholas LaRoche and his older sister Tricia — a financially challenged athlete and his supporter. Working together we have created a training assistance fund to help promising athletes who are held back from their potential due to financial hardship.

Among the beneficiaries of the fund are 2009 U.S. Champion Alissa Czisny, a two-time member of the World Championship team. Czisny has won multiple medals on the Grand Prix of Figure Skating circuit, including 2005 Skate Canada gold and 2005 Skate America silver.
