Athletes

The US Athletic Foundation established a fund to help financially challenged athletes reach their national, world and Olympic goals. The fund allows athletes to focus their passion and energy on training and utilizing their talents to their fullest potential, instead of worrying about the financial aspect of their sport. Through the fund, the Foundation manages the financial aspects of training, including the overseeing of donations.

If you are an athlete in need of funding, apply to become a part of the US Athletic Foundation. Individual athletes should fill out the athlete membership application. Athletic teams should fill out the team membership application.

Among the beneficiaries of the fund are 2009 U.S. Champion Alissa Czisny, a two-time member of the World Championship team, and 2004 Junior Grand Prix Final Champion Dennis Phan.

The most recent athletes to join are U.S. Junior Ladies Champion Courtney Hicks and Emmanuel Savary, 2010 U.S. Novice Men's Silver Medalist. 2010 U.S. Junior Men's silver medalist Joshua Farris, Team USA ice dancers Lynn Kriengkrairut and Logan Giulietti-Schmitt and U.S. Championship competitor Sean Rabbitt also recently joined the Foundation.

Although the US Athletic Foundation currently offers support to several figure skaters, athletes from all sports are eligible to apply for funding. Both individual athletes and athletic teams are encouraged to become a part of the Foundation.
